The 15% threshold
Most professors treat Turnitin scores under 15% as normal. Scores between 15-25% get manual review. Above 25% usually triggers an academic integrity meeting.
What changed since last month
Turnitin updated its detection model on January 28, 2026. BypassGPT, which scored 18% in our January test, now scores 21%. Humanize AI Pro and Undetectable AI were unaffected by the update.
This is normal. Turnitin updates regularly, and tools that rely on a single transformation approach tend to degrade over time. Tools that use randomized, multi-layer processing maintain their performance.
Our recommendation
For Turnitin specifically, use Humanize AI Pro. It has scored under 5% in every monthly test we have run since September 2025.
